Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must be:

1. Citizens of India, or
2. Subjects of Nepal, or
3. Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from select countries with the intent of permanent settlement in India. (A certificate of eligibility from Govt. of India is required unless you’re a Gorkha subject of Nepal).

Age Limit

• 20 to 27 years as of 01 January 2026
  (Born between 02 Jan 1999 and 01 Jan 2006 – both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualification

• Engineering graduates or final year students from recognized institutions.
• Final year students must produce all mark sheets by 01 Jan 2026 and the degree certificate within 12 weeks of training commencement.
• Induction will be on an Additional Bond Basis – failure to submit the degree on time may lead to liability for training cost recovery.

Vacancies & Selection

• Total Vacancies: 30

Training at IMA, Dehradun

• Duration: 12 months
• Cadets must remain unmarried throughout training.
• Marriage during or post-application, before completion of training, will result in disqualification/discharge and full cost recovery by the government.

Pay & Perks

• Stipend during training: ₹56,100/- per month
• Upon commissioning, the Level 10 Pay Matrix starts with ₹56,100 + allowances
• The training period is not counted as commissioned service, but allowances are paid after commissioning.
