We have also covered some amazing glimpses of the NDA 146th Course POP, featuring our mentors, proud Centurions, and their parents. We hope you will love reading it and seeing the beauty of the prestigious National Defence Academy.
Planning Before the NDA Passing Out Parade
Chief SSB Mentor at Centurion Defence Academy Sir Shishir Dixit and Mrs Gurkirat Kaur Ma’am had been to NDA many times. They had even visited the NDA on the 30th of November 2023 to witness the passing out parade of the 145th Course, in which proud Centurions Shashank Tiwari, Vikrant Sahu, Sarthak, Vikas Singh Yadav, and many more passed out. Filled with nostalgia to visit the NDA again and meet their new students who would be passing out from the 146th course, it was all so enthralling, and they were very excited and energetic to witness the grand occasion at the NDA again. With fervor, zeal, and excitement to see their proud students passing out from the prestigious National Defence Academy, they landed in Pune from Lucknow a day before the passing out parade ceremony.
The Iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground
The NDA 146th Course POP ceremony was organized at the famous Khetarpal Parade Ground, located inside the NDA campus. The Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande PVSM AVSM VSM ADC was the Chief Guest, and he also reviewed the parade. Sir Shishir Dixit and Mrs. Gurkirat Kaur felt impressed and proud as they witnessed the passing out parade of NDA cadets, including their students, whom they had taught and mentored three years back at Centurion Defence Academy.
Proud Centurions marching in their Passing Out Parade
Now, after completing three years of rigorous training at the NDA, they found the sight of proud Centurions marching in their passing out parade. The moment reminded them of how rapidly time passes. Both felt proud and nostalgic after meeting their students Sagar, Shashwat, Avijit, Vikrant, Ravi Prakash Yadav, and many more. They also met the parents of their students, who accompanied them during the passing out parade ceremony. They shared their experiences, expressed gratitude, and took some snapshots at the iconic National Defence Academy.
NDA Journey of Some Proud Centurions
Lucknow resident Ravi Prakash Yadav, who was a student of Centurion Defence Academy, has brought laurels by passing out from NDA. Ravi Prakash, who always excelled in sports like football and hockey, was a cadet of Charlie Squadron in NDA. During the conversation, Ravi mentioned that India’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat was also a cadet of the Charlie Squadron of the National Defence Academy (NDA), and it is a matter of pride for him to be a part of this squadron which has been champion in drill most of the time. After completing three years of training at NDA, Ravi Prakash Yadav will now receive specialized training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun and will get the rank of Lieutenant post his commissioning in the Indian Army.
Another student of Centurion Defence Academy, Shashwat Dwivedi, has a similar story filled with struggles, challenges, failures, and then success and glory. Shashwat Dwivedi, who hails from Unnao district of UP, also passed out from the 146th Course of the NDA. After many NDA and TES attempts, he got success through the NDA entry in his 9th and last attempt. Shashwat fulfilled his dream of joining NDA by securing AIR 161 in the 146th course. Shashwat’s story is a great source of inspiration for those who get disappointed after failing in their initial attempts to join the National Defence Academy.
During his three-year training at the National Defence Academy, Avijit Singh, a student from Centurion Defence Academy, was made Divisional Cadet Captain (DCC). Apart from being brilliant in studies, Avijit also has a special interest in sports and was also the captain of the football, gymnastics, and volleyball teams in the NDA. Apart from this, Avijit was also awarded a book prize for his excellent performance in gymnastics.
