NDA-2 2024 Paper Analysis and Expected Cut-Off Marks

As we all know the UPSC has conducted the NDA-2 2024 exams and the cut-off shall soon be released once the recruitment process is completed. Tentatively the NDA-2 cutoff is expected to range between 320-340 based on the difficulty level of the exam. The candidates need to secure cut-off marks separately for both the written exam and the SSB Interview. The cut-off for NDA written exam is calculated out of 900 marks and similarly, for the SSB interview, it is calculated out of 900 marks. The final NDA cut-off is calculated out of 1800 marks and apparently for each section candidates need to secure 25 percent respectively. NDA eligibility considers a score between 400-500 marks to be a secure and qualifying range to be eligible to get into the final merit list. Let’s have a look at this year’s paper analysis and the expected cut-off.

NDA 2 2024 Exam Analysis

The NDA 2 2024 exam was conducted by the UPSC to select candidates for the National Defence Academy & Naval Academy respectively. Most of the candidates who have appeared for the NDA exam are eagerly waiting to know the expected cutoff for the NDA exam. The final selection of the candidates would be done based on the candidate’s overall performance in both the written exam and the SSB Interview. Post that the Joining letter would be issued to all the selected candidates according to available vacancies in the merit.

The exam comprises 2 papers namely Paper I: Mathematics and Paper II: General Ability Test. Mathematics paper consists of 120 Questions that are of 2.5 marks each, while the General Ability Test consists of 150 Questions that are of 4 marks each.

Based on candidates’ feedback this year preferably Mathematics paper was ranging from easy to moderate. Questions in this section were mainly asked from Determinants & Matrices, Differentiation & its application, Permutation and combination, Quadratic equation and cube roots, Static & DI, Sets Relations and Functions, Vectors, Integration & its application, 3D geometry, etc. For this section, a total of 75-85 questions can be considered as a good attempt.

The General Ability Test paper had a total of 150 Questions of four marks each. A fairly good number of questions appeared from the Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and History sections. Spotting errors, Idioms & Phrases, and ordering of words, Antonyms, and Synonyms were asked majorly in the English section. The level of the GAT section was moderate. A total attempt of 90 – 100 questions with 90% accuracy would be considered definitely a good performance.
