Nonetheless, another Centurion gem, Princy Chauhan who got recommended for (NDA-153, 20 SSB, Bhopal) has with her persistent, sincere, dedication and hard work aced out and has proved her worth and mettle under the able and diligent guidance of Team Centurion and added another feather and laurel in the success chart basking the glory of this institution. Journey of Princy-

Princy belongs to Saharanpur and was a student of the Dehradun batch of Centurion and successfully got recommended. She cannot express in words the amount of happiness and confidence that has let her secure her ambition and her goal that would have been a farfetched dream if it had not been Team Centurion’s dedication and persistent efforts with individual guidance that led her to this victorious path and made her a proud child of their proud parents. It was all the more historical and monumental victory for her as she belonged entirely to a civilian background with no defence background and thus achieving this feat is a miracle in itself.

Well it was an incident during the Wagah Border parade which was a retreat ceremony and it was a huge celebration wherein she was selected to run across the ground with the Indian Flag held in her hands and this motivated her and became her dream to work an serve the nation that was the trigger point of her life which motivated her and this self-realization proved to be the turning point of her life.  This drive really motivated her and ignited the fire within her to push her limits and get out of her comfort zone and do something meaningful in her life. This self-realization not only motivated her but also effectively decided the future course of her life.  Soon she joined Centurion Defence Academy where the faculty and team prepped her up with an overview of how would the actual pattern of the exam would be and how to strategize within the required time period.

Definitely with the able and sound guidance of the faculty, staff, counselors and the regular screening and weekly mock tests organized by Team Centurion made her exam ready and gave her an idea of the previous examination pattern, recent exam pattern, its changes and how to prep up for the interviews, how to assess her strong and weak areas which is a must and how to overcome the same. She had a hard time with her Maths as she could not clear that as well as she was weak in story making though her discussion was strong so all her weak areas were assessed and she was guided and helped throughout to master her shortcomings and improve the same.

Word Of Guidance-

In her own words, as advice to all the candidates out there it is very important to assess your strong areas and to keep a simple strategy for your preparation by sticking to the subject that you have studied and know in and out of the entirety of that subject, solving the mock series will give you an edge as well as help you to handle the time constraint. For the SSB Preparations always create a positive mental approach so as to avoid nervousness and negativity. As I put it in my own words, “The SSB’s are a life time experience and that too a fun-loving one so just enjoy this process rather than fearing as it will definitely make your life worth a shot.” Remember to have a clear power of expression, display the best of your leadership skills, acknowledge and have the power to listen be patient, and maintain your composure at all times. To succeed you need to practice a lot, especially for your TAT, WAT, and SRT where you need to know how to express yourself and make that understandable to others as well with your presence of mind and power of expression which goes the same for PPDT while your screening round as their also the same rule applies that you need to express yourself, keep your point and thoughts valid and such that decides that you have that leadership skills in yourself. For the GTO it is important to understand the group behavior as you need maximum engagement on part of your group and render out the common topics. Most importantly self-introspection is very essential because if you do not know yourself, your surroundings or what field you are going for everything will be at a loss as the interviewer will come to know this while your assessment. For the PIQ’s be aware of your surroundings, things related to your practical life, cramming and mugging will be useless as coached ideas and thoughts will not help you out, you need to know and understand your personality, be passionate and focused of your goal then only you will be able to give your 100%.

Last but not least her success would be short without mentioning the gratitude to Team Centurion who provided wings to her dreams and made her efficient to become a Defence Officer. All the Team Panel of elite counselors and guidance by the teachers have made this victory possible.
