On 14th August 2024, Centurion Defence Academy celebrated its 16 years of excellence. The 16th Annual Function event of the Academy took place in the iconic auditorium of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The highly awaited occasion not only marked Centurion’s 16 years of excellence but also celebrated the “Mountain of Selections” that the Academy has created over the years. Team Centurion also paid tribute to the brave hearts of the Indian Armed Forces on 25 Years of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The grand event of Centurion Defence Academy was attended by over 1,500 people, including retired officers of the armed forces, officers of general rank, selected students for the armed forces, their parents, eminent personalities from Lucknow, distinguished politicians, as well as representatives from electronic, print, and radio media. Besides, renowned lyricist, poet, and screenwriter Mr. Manoj Muntashir Shukla graced the event with his presence. The teaching and staff members of Centurion Defence Academy were also present in the 16th Annual Function celebrations.

Starting of the Function with “Police Samman Samaroh”

The 16th Annual Function of Centurion Defence Academy started with “Police Samman Samaroh,” a prestigious event dedicated to honoring the bravery and selfless service of our police officers. Sir Shishir Dixit felicitated Senior IPS Navin Arora, ADG /Technical Services during this Samman Samaroh. Other members of the UP Police were also felicitated by IPS Arora Ji and Sir Shishir Dixit, Chairman of Centurion Defence Academy.

Cultural Performances by Proud Centurions

On this momentous occasion, students from Centurion Defence Academy participated in several cultural activities, including folk dance, skits, solo singing, and dance performances. Defence aspirants from various batches of Centurion Defence Academy, including 11th and 12th Foundation, Tejas, Pragati, Sukhoi, MIG, MIG PRO, BrahMos, AGNI, CDS, Nirbhaya, and more participated in this event and made it memorable.

The Annual Function of Centurion Defence Academy was graced by the presence of various eminent personalities from different sectors. Felicitation of NDA 153rd Course Selected Candidates and their Parents 

The event also featured the felicitation of gallantry awardees, SSB mentors, and the recent NDA 153 batch recommended students making a mountain of selections in the SSB Interview and NDA, CDS, MNS and AFCAT written examination, along with honoring the dedicated teachers and staff members whose guidance has been vital in the success of Centurion Defence Academy. The NDA 153rd course selected candidates were present along with their parents, all of whom were felicitated by Sir Shishir Dixit and other SSB mentors from Centurion Defence Academy.

Performance of Renowned Lyricist Shri Manoj Muntashir Shukla Ji

At the 16th Annual Function Celebration of the Centurion Defence Academy, held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, renowned lyricist and poet Shri Manoj Muntashir Shukla Ji graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. On this special occasion, Shri Manoj Muntashir Shukla Ji delivered a presentation filled with patriotic emotion, which resonated throughout the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, filling the entire venue with the sound of vibrant applause. Shri Manoj Muntashir Shukla Ji also praised the efforts of Centurion Defence Academy towards shaping the careers of defence aspirants and contributing to nation-building. Following the event, Shishir Dixit Ji, the Chairman of Centurion Defence Academy, honored Shri Manoj Muntashir Shukla Ji with a beautiful idol of Lord Shri Ram.

Session by SSB Panel on How To Join Officer Cadre in the Indian Armed Forces

During the event, there was a separate session on how to join the officer cadre in the Indian Armed Forces. The panel contained Army General Rank Retired Officers, Psychologist & Ex. Services Selection Board Officers. This exclusive session was led by Sir Shishir Dixit – Founder-Director & Chief SSB Mentor at Lucknow & Dehradun Center of Centurion Defence Academy. Other members of the panel were Maj Gen A.K. Chaturvedi (Retd.) AVSM, VSM – Trained IO (DIPR), Senior Interviewing Officer Lucknow Center, Maj Gen Shammi Sabharwal (Retd.) – SSB Mentor and Senior Interviewing Officer, Dehradun Center, Gp Capt A Basu (Retd.) – Senior Interviewing Officer Dehradun SSB Center and Lt. Gurkirat Ma’am on Career Opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces

Besides the panel members’ session on how to join the officer cadre, there was another session by Mrs. Gurkirat Kaur (Director – Academics and Innovation Cell), Centurion Defence Academy. In this session, ma’am answered various questions posed by the anchor of the digital media partner Zee News. Most of the questions were related to career options in the defence sector post-12th and graduation, the holistic guidance approach of Centurion Defence Academy, and career options in the Military Nursing Service (MNS), among others. Success Tips from UPSC NDA 153rd Course Selected Students for Written & SSB Interview

There was another very important session on success tips from the UPSC NDA 153rd course recommended candidates for the NDA written exam and SSB interview. In July 2024, Centurion Defence Academy gave 30+ officer-cadre selections for the armed forces, which is once again the highest selection rate in India. The recommended candidates answered all the questions asked by the Zee News anchor and they also shared their tips and strategies for both the written and interview stages.
