THE INDIAN NAVY 10+2 (B.TECH) CADET ENTRY SCHEME (PERMANENT COMMISSION)COURSE COMMENCING – JAN 2026

Applications are invited from unmarried men and women candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) for becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in Executive and Technical branches under 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme after undergoing four year B Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Vacancies & Age

The age eligibility & vacancies for the course are as under:-

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

Educational Qualification

Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cut-Off 2024

  • The Indian Navy typically does not release an official cut-off, but SSB interview calls are issued based on JEE Main CRL rank.
  • For the July 2024 intake, candidates with JEE rank within the top 4 lakh received SSB interview invitations.
  • This trend indicates a call-up threshold near Rank 400,000.

Who can apply?

Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2025 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2025 published by NTA.

Medical Standards/ Relaxation in Height and Weight/ Tattoo

All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B Tech) entry.

Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. Change of medical hospital/centre is not permissible under any circumstances

SELECTION PROCEDURE

(a) Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2025. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Sep 2025 onwards.

 (b) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form).

Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/ mobile number till selection process is over.

(c) Change of SSB Centre for examination/ interview is not permissible under any circumstances.

(d) Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from Naval Headquarters via SMS/email (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter.

(e) No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.

(f) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.

(g) Details of SSB procedure are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Merit list

Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry
