Accelerating girl quotient, Anushka Singh has somewhere made the women strata of our society proud. Anushka secured AIR-32 rank among girls and was recommended for the NDA-153 Course for the Indian Navy, Vizag Board. This young girl had the dream to achieve something big in her life for herself as well as her family. It was her own wish and dream to see herself working and serving the nation just like her grandfather did who served as a JCO in the Army this reason was enough to motivate her, ignite her passion to live the life of her grandfather and she felt the urge to become a Defence Officer. Though Anushka appeared previously also but could not ace out as she fell behind in her writings this did not deter her passion and confidence and she aced and overcame her shortcomings and achieved an AIR-32 rank. Let us have a look below at her wonderful and remarkable feat following her success at selection-

Success Journey-

Well what can one want more in life than achieving what you desire the most, being fulfilled in front of your eyes, and being the child of a proud parent, well the amount of happiness ushered at that moment was undyingly short to express and that happiness was hard to process with all the surge of emotions being felt at that moment when Anushka got the confirmation that she was finally selected in her second attempt.

She always had the dream to achieve big in life for herself and her family. It was the dream and fascination of hers with the water and swimming as well as she wanted to work for the betterment of the nation and to honour and live the glorious life of her grandfather who worked in the prestigious Indian Armed Forces and this motivated her, ignited her passions, to feel the surge and finally she became an Indian Navy Cadet.

Her journey throughout has been a culmination of positives and negatives as no success is complete without failures and failures are the stepping stones of success. She gave her NDA written exam but could not steer through and was rejected due to low confidence, extra pressure, and lack of time management but this did not deter her rather it made her want to accomplish more and reach higher and ignited her hunger for success and this gave her the power to achieve her dream in her second attempt because she believes in the phrase,” Better late than never.”

Anushka joined Centurion’s Pragati Batch. She credits the comprehensive approach for helping her stay well prepared for both stages wherein she led a hostel life following a strict routine while getting up early and being punctual in her studies and routine, learned to be independent, do things on her own, take charge of her responsibilities, having a fixed time table, getting a studious and disciplined as well as competitive atmosphere with the best industry teachers to guide and motivate in her entire journey.

This success is definitely incomplete without the mention of the consistent efforts of Centurion Defence Academy’s entire panel of teachers, and industry experts as the rigorous training and personal guidance along with regular and sustained training and classes, recorded lectures and modules, counseling, spoken classes, study material, English and Hindi notes, etc given by the esteemed and renowned panel of experts assessing her growth and abilities and the regular mock tests and sessions she took part with all her frequent attempts gave her an insight and understanding at what and how can she extract the most and benefit with ease. As per Anushka, “It is important to focus on yourself and be patient even if you fail, competition is no doubt important but being self-reliant, decisive at the right moment, and working on yourself by self-introspection is all that will lead you towards your path.”

As in the words of Anushka, “It is very important to stick to the syllabus but at the same time do selective study and achieve time management as well as mastering your accuracy over your speed, especially for Mathematics and referring YouTube for current affairs as well as being confident all along which comes from self-motivation by keeping your priorities clear and to never compare yourself with others or let others judge you. It is very important to have a clear retrospective with positive thoughts leading to a positive mindset.

The balanced coaching and guidance that was fostered at Centurion has proved fruitful in achieving and ensuring her mission as all her expectations, and objectives were met in the most diligent and viable manner which made her reach and fulfill her objective. The Academy’s Guidance and Engagement Strategy at the individual level based on every student’s I.Q is commendable as each and every student is different, having their own strengths and weaknesses and the way she was motivated and guided at each and every step with such diligence and patience by the entire team of teachers and panelists at every step really paved her way for success as after the defeat in her first attempt she was really demotivated and had no clue as to where she was lacking or went wrong and her confidence level just dropped off but she was at every step guided and motivated here and individually counseled with keeping in mind her strengths and weaknesses be it how to clear up with my written, how to prepare for my interviews, how to prepare for the group tasks, etc, which definitely gave her positive results and thus made her conquer the failures and negativities. As Anushka stated, “ It is very important to trust your teachers and what they are guiding you as I did the mistake of ignoring and not listening to what is being said and told which cost me with my first attempt thus trusting at what is told is important for your success which I got in my second attempt as well as to be consistent with your efforts even when you fail. It is important to observe the PPDT closely and to refer newspaper and preparing different topics with full command of your knowledge. Last but not the least to refer to English and GS book of Centurion publication which covers the comprehensive syllabus very aptly.”

Last but not least as described by Anushka, “A special shoutout to Ranneeti book in which the psychology portion is so aptly described which gave a very good exposure at story making, narration, OIR portion, WAT, SRT’s and the efficient time management as discussed in the book and its importance which I followed rigorously and because of which I was able to finish all 60 Wat in the allotted time period and especially Shishir Sir who took motivation classes, took doubt-clearing sessions, psychology lectures and classes and also felicitated us at various occasions which motivated me a lot and was available round the clock for any kind of doubt clearing or guidance of any kind.”

As in the words of Anushka, “When I appeared for my written and was disqualified in my first attempt, it demotivated me but with Centurion’s planned study time-table and guidance I came back with full zeal to appear for my written in the second attempt and this time I was all the more confident and calm with a composed attitude as this time I was already prepared and knew my weak points which made me control my nervous bouts and panic attacks and I went in, answered each of the questions with ease and clarity and came out hoping I had answered everything the way it should have been and that I would not have repeated the same mistake I had done before. Amid all the stress and panic that I, as well as my parents, were having at that particular moment was really very tense but as soon as I got a confirmation call and saw my call letter in my hands, my happiness knew no bounds as I had finally managed to achieve my dream and was really happy at my success and I saw the happiness of my parents and their happiness was unmeasured and I felt as the most luckiest and blessed child of my proud parents”.
