Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted twice a year at national level by Indian Air Force to select officers for its all branches namely flying branch, ground duty technical and ground duty (Non Technical). The total duration of this exam is 2 hours.

a) General Awareness:
An air force aspirant should be updated with current affairs. He is expected to have awareness concerned with History, Sports, Environment, Politics, Education, Basic Science, Art, Civics, Geography, Defence, Politics, Culture, Current Affairs and Polity. b) Verbal Ability in English:

AFCAT applications now have to be made online only. The earlier scheme allowing candidates to apply offline (by post) has been discontinued. Candidates are to apply online through website www.careerairforce.nic.in using a valid and current email address only after notification is released.
ELIGIBILITY FOR AFCAT WRITTEN EXAMINATION

EXAM PATTERN OF AFCAT WRITTEN EXAMINATION
Duration of AFCAT is two hours. It consists of 100 questions. Each question carries three marks, and there is also negative marking in AFCAT, for every wrong answer one mark is deducted. RESULTS OF AFCAT EXAMINATION

Being a competitive exam and there is no fixed cut off percentage for passing. Candidates who perform better are sent the call letters for SSB interviews. The final merit list is prepared after the SSB interviews final result and displayed on the Indian Air Force website. Centurion Academy runs year round batches for AFCAT examinations as it may be difficult for serving personnel to take leave according to batch dates. We offer flexibility of joining dates and advise candidates to take coaching as soon as they are able to spare time from their duty. For Class: Students are not required to bring any books. All study material is issued to the students upon admission. Students must bring personal registers or note books and stationary like pens.
For Hostels: Beds and mattresses are provided, but students should bring their own bedding i.e. bed sheets (2 Nos.) and Pillow. For winter months students should bring thick blankets and razai.
Personal Items: Students are expected to dress smartly for class, please bring personal clothing accordingly. Students should carry all personal toiletries. Sports shoes are a must. Please avoid bringing expensive personal items or cash. Even though lockers are provided, students are responsible for their own personal belongings.
