AFCAT exam provides a great opportunity to come up with flying colors in Indian Air Force for graduates of India. Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted twice a year at national level by Indian Air Force to select officers for its all branches namely flying branch, ground duty technical and ground duty (Non Technical). Medical and Dental Branches are not included in AFCAT. After AFCAT exam, students who qualify this entrance exam get call letter for SSB interview called AFSB. AFSB stands for Air Force SSB. It is similar to SSB interview after NDA and CDS. The successful students of AFSB undergo medical test and then final merit list is made on the basis of their written, interview and medical test. AFCAT is an online exam and is conducted in February and August month of every year. The advertisement for AFCAT applications is published in the month of June and December of every year. There are 100 questions in AFCAT question paper and each question is of three marks. Each correct answer will get 3 marks and for each wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total duration of this exam is 2 hours.

The following subjects are asked in AFCAT exam.
a) General Awareness:
An air force aspirant should be updated with current affairs. He is expected to have awareness concerned with History, Sports, Environment, Politics, Education, Basic Science, Art, Civics, Geography, Defence, Politics, Culture, Current Affairs and Polity. b) Verbal Ability in English:
