An officer’s strength of character and strong moral compass make him/her stand out from the crowd at all times. For a benevolent rank the syllabus designed for AFCAT exam encompass English, General awareness, Numerical ability and Reasoning and Military Aptitude.  AFCAT Written Exam is the only criteria for clearing first stage for the Non-Technical candidates; while AFCAT + EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for the Technical candidates.

Note: The standard of Numerical Ability Questions will be of Matriculation level. The standard of questions in other subjects will be of graduation level (Indian University)

For all the candidates of the AFCAT, it is mandatory to appear in the written test. Also, the candidates who have applied for the technical posts need to appear in the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). AFCAT Written Exam is the only criteria for clearing first stage for the Non-Technical candidates; while AFCAT + EKT (Engineering Knowledge Test) for the Technical candidates.
