INET (INDIAN NAVY ENTRANCE TEST) EXAM

Indian Navy has introduced a new entrance scheme INET Examination for Officer Entry. This graduate level examination will be conducted along with Naval Academy Exam, Combined Defence Services, National Defence Academy and University Entry Scheme.  

This computer-based examination will be held twice a year, starting from September 2019 around the country at various centers. Just like AFCAT conducted by Indian Air Force for both men and women, the Indian Navy has decided to start an online examination for officers entry only.

In order to provide equal chances to both male and female aspirants, the Indian Navy has confirmed to arrange this examination at various centers of the country. Presently, INET Exam is conducted for sailor entry. The first round of examination was conducted in the month of March 2019 successfully at 214 centers.

INET will offer five different officer entry through this non-paper pen online exam, these are Officers in Pilot (MR), Logistics, ATC, Observer, IT, Electrical Branch, Engineering Branch, and Education Cadre, Naval Armament Inspection Cadre (NAIC) on Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC).
