UPSC has introduced a new system called OTR (One Time Registration), so the form is now filled in two stages:

1. OTR Registration
2. NDA Application (Part I & II)

Step 1: Visit the Official UPSC Portal

• Go to upsconline.nic.in Or upsc.gov.in
• Click on Examination
• Select Active Examinations
• Choose NDA 1 2026

Step 2: Complete One-Time Registration (OTR)

This step is done only once in your lifetime. After this, you can easily apply for any UPSC exam.

In OTR, you must enter:

• Full name (as per Class 10 certificate)
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Father’s & Mother’s name
• Permanent and correspondence address
• Email ID and mobile number

After submitting, you will receive your Universal Registration Number (URN).

This URN will be used to log in for all future exams.

Step 3: Start the NDA Application – Part I

After logging in, select:

National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I) 2026

Fill in:

• Personal details
• Educational qualifications
• Preferences for Army, Navy, Air Force
• Exam centre preference

Tip: Choose an exam centre close to your city, as seats fill up very quickly.

After filling in all details, review the preview page and click Submit Part I.

Step 4: Part II – Upload Documents & Pay Fees

Now the most important part begins.

Upload the Following:

• Photograph (JPG, white background)
• Signature (JPG, blue/black ink)
• Photo ID proof (PDF)

Check the preview to confirm that the image and signature are crystal clear.

Step 5: Pay the Examination Fee

Fee Structure

• General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
• SC/ST/Female/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs: No fee

Payment Options

• Debit/Credit cards
• UPI
• Net Banking
• SBI Bank Challan (offline option)

Once payment is successful, your application moves to the final stage.

Step 6: Final Submission

• Check all details in the Print Preview
• Accept the declaration
• Click Final Submit

Finally, download your confirmation page and keep a printout for reference.
