After clearing the NDA written exam and SSB interview, students (now including girls) join the NDA just after Class 12. During their time at the academy, cadets are not just students; they are future officers in the making.

3 Years at NDA: Cadets pursue a graduation degree (B.A., B.SC., or B.Tech.) while receiving intense physical and military training.

1 Year at Respective Academies:

Air Force cadets attend the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Hyderabad.

Note: This is just the basic salary. The total income is much higher after adding various allowances.
