The Combined Defence Services (CDS) offline exam was conducted in 3 shifts for the 3 Papers- English Language, General Studies, and Elementary Mathematics.

Candidates who applied for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Indian Naval Academy (INA) attempted all three papers.

Those candidates who applied for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) attempted only English and General Knowledge papers. Such candidates were exempted from the Mathematics paper.

English Paper

The English section tested comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and sentence correction skills. The paper included:

Comprehension passages with direct questions.
Grammar tasks like error spotting and sentence rearrangement.

General Studies Paper

The G.S paper focused on:
Indian History, especially the freedom movement.

Next Steps After CDS-2 2025 Written Exam

In 2025, the CDS written paper cut-off that a candidate has to clear is for the SSB interview. The SSB interview is the which follows the CDS exam for selection. Please note that the UPSC releases the written cut-off marks after the final results.
