Lucknow is in pain. A young NDA cadet was found dead in his hostel room. He was full of dreams. He wanted to serve the nation. He worked hard. He was disciplined. Everyone admired him.

He was part of Centurion Defence Academy’s NDA Tejas Batch. Even in Class 12, he cleared the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force on his first try. Few can do that. He had passion. He had energy. He had focus.

Shishir Dixit, chairman of Centurion Defence Academy, spoke about the loss. He said it was “irreparable — not only to his family but to the entire nation.” He added:

“The demise of such a bright and devoted NDA cadet is deeply heartbreaking. He was full of dreams, discipline, and dedication to serve the nation. I humbly appeal to the Ministry of Defence to revise existing policies and ensure maximum aid, financial support, and benefits—similar to ex-servicemen—for the bereaved family to help them bear this irreparable loss.”

Dixit said the cadet was one of the best in his batch. “Such a loss shakes every mentor and parent who nurtures the dream of seeing their child serve the nation,” he said.

The cadet, Antriksh Kumar Singh from Lucknow, was found unresponsive in his hostel room in Khadakwasla, Pune. He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead. The authorities are investigating.

This shows how hard the transition to military life is. Dixit said:

“While maintaining high standards of training remains essential, the transition from civilian to military life is a psychologically demanding phase, especially for first-term cadets. Emotional and psychological support within defence institutions is of the utmost importance.”

Every cadet is human. Every cadet has dreams, fears, and hopes. Losing one is not just a family tragedy. It is a loss for the nation.

Dixit’s message is simple: families of cadets who die deserve support, recognition, and care. Emotional and mental help is as important as training.

“The nation must collectively ensure that the sacrifice and aspirations of such young patriots never go unnoticed and that their families receive due respect, recognition, and support for sending their sons into selfless national service,” he said.

Antriksh’s life was short. But his spirit, dreams, and dedication can inspire change. Let us make sure every young cadet feels supported.
