ACC Exam Syllabus
Career advancement to meritorious soldiers in the ranks was an ultimate aim of Army Cadet College (ACC). Entry of deserving soldiers into corps of officer cadre has ensured by the Indian Army that leads to build this egalitarian concept into posterity.
ACC greater thrust laid on academics with an even emphasis on building officer like qualities in cadets. The selection for admission to ACC is based on a written test and service selection board (SSB Interview).
ACC exam paper is divided into four sections. Following is the information in detail.
- Section 1 – General Mental Ability Test (GMAT)
- Section 2 – Current & General Awareness Test (CGAT)
- Section 3 – Interactive Communicative English (ICE)
- Section 4 – Academic Content Test (ACT)
Section 1:- General Mental Ability
In this section, you will have to cover the following topics:
- Reasoning Ability
- Non-verbal reasoning
- Numerical ability
Section 2:- Current General Awareness
In this section, you have to prepare a complete General Knowledge Portion. You will have to cover the following topics:
- Latest Current Affairs
- Indian Constitution
- History
- Economy
- Geography
- Indian Politics
- Indian Navy & Military
- Religions
- Books & Authors
- Sports
- Awards, etc
Section 3:- Interactive Communicative English
The paper of English would have two sub-sections i.e. sub-section 1 would be Objective type question and sub-section 2 would be Descriptive. For section one, you can cover the following topics:
- Sentence Improvement
- Reading Comprehension
- Synonyms
- Antonyms
- One Word Substitution
- Para-Jumble
- Sentence-Jumble
- Spot the Error
- Cloze Test
Section 4:- Academic Content Test
In this section, you have to cover some academics subjects like:
- Mathematics
- General Science
- Humanities
