Army Issues Corrigendum for JAG-123 Combined Vacancies Announced

The Indian Army has released a corrigendum notification regarding the Short Service Commission (SSC) JAG Entry 123 Course (April 2026) for both men and women. This corrigendum amends the earlier notification regarding the vacancy distribution for the course.

What’s New in the Corrigendum?

Originally, the Indian Army had announced separate vacancies for men and women candidates under the JAG (Judge Advocate General) Entry 123 Course:

Men: 05 Vacancies
Women: 05 Vacancies

However, as per the latest corrigendum, the vacancies have now been combined for both male and female candidates.

Official Note from the Indian Army

According to the corrigendum, the Indian Army clarified that:

The Indian Army publishes or notifies combined vacancies for men and women based on the operational and administrative needs of the Force, as envisaged in existing and future scenarios.

The corrigendum also emphasizes that:

The application process, SSB shortlisting (cut-off), selection, and merit will be purely based on the notified combined vacancies.

The process is driven by the number of applications received in response to the notification for the particular course.

About SSC (JAG) Entry 123 Course (April 2026)

The JAG Entry Scheme is a special entry for Law Graduates who aspire to join the Indian Army as Short Service Commissioned Officers in the Judge Advocate General Branch. Through this entry, both male and female candidates can serve as legal officers in the Indian Army.
