It was his own dedication, patience, perseverance, and firm belief that he only wanted to become a Defence Officer, and this reason was enough to motivate him, igniting his passion to live the life of an Armed Forces Officer. Securing an AIR-107 through the CDS Entry, he has proven that with hard work, self-belief, and right guidance, success is inevitable. As a proud student of our CDS Written+SSB Batch, Pranshul honed his skills, refined his personality, and pushed his limits to achieve his dream of joining the Armed Forces. CDS Exam Success Journey

Well nothing tastes sweeter than seeing your dreams getting fulfilled right before your eyes and getting what you desire the most, being fulfilled in front of you, well the amount of excitement you achieve at that moment is difficult to express in words and is all the more difficult to process with all the surge of emotions being felt at that moment when Pranshul got the confirmation that he was selected in his very first attempt which he happily and proudly called his father who was very happy and glad and he was in a bit of shock and took time to process this excitement.

Pranshul finished B.Tech in April 2024 and marched forward with the preparation of the CDS paper in September. He always had the dream to achieve big in life for himself and his family. It was the dream and patience along with determination and self-discipline of himself to wear the uniform and this motivated him a lot to work for the betterment of the nation and to honor and live the glorious life of an Indian Armed Forces Officer and this motivated him, ignited his passions, to feel the surge and finally, he was recommended. It was his sole ambition and dream so much that he had only 4.5 months limited time to prepare and cover the entire syllabus, which he successfully did after joining the SSB Course at Centurion Defence Academy.

CDA Written Exam strategy and challenges

Success Story of Pranshul, His journey throughout has been a mix of both positives and negatives, as no success is complete without hardships and difficulties, and that shortcomings are the crux of success. He faced problems and had difficulties particularly in Mathematics and due to low confidence, inability to express or bring out his thoughts forward, extra pressure but this did not demotivate him rather it made him want to accomplish more and reach higher and ignited his hunger for success and this gave him the power to achieve his dream in his very first attempt because he believed in the phrase,” Nothing is impossible and with hard work, smart preparation and sincerity any goal is just a step away from being accomplished.”

Pranshul joined Centurion’s SSB Course at Lucknow Centre. He credits the unique individualistic and personalised approach for helping him stay well prepared for both stages wherein he followed a strict routine while getting up early and being punctual in studies and routine, learned to be independent, doing things on his own, taking charge of his responsibilities, having a fixed time table, getting a studious and disciplined as well as competitive atmosphere with the best industry teachers to guide and motivate in his entire journey where he got guidance from the teachers, he self-introspected, gave regular mock tests, practiced PPDT, SRT’s, WAT’s that led him to know his strengths and work on his weak points and in turn build his confidence as well.

SSB Interview Strategy

Last but not the least as described by Pranshul, “A special mention to Ranneeti book in which the psychology portion is so aptly described which gave a very good exposure at story making, narration, OIR portion, WAT, SRT’s and the efficient time management as discussed in the book and its importance which I followed rigorously and because of which I was able to finish all 60 Wat in the allotted time period and especially Shishir Sir who took motivation classes, took doubt-clearing sessions, psychology lectures and classes and also felicitated us at various occasions which motivated me a lot and was available round the clock for any kind of doubt clearing or guidance of any kind.”

As in the words of Pranshul, “When I started my preparation and was confused, it demotivated me but with Centurion’s planned study time-table and guidance I came back with full zeal to appear for my writtens in the first attempt and because of which I was all the more confident and calm with a composed attitude as I was already prepared and knew my weak points which made me control my nervous bouts and panic attacks and I went in, answered each of the questions with ease and clarity and came out hoping I had answered everything the way it should have been. Amid all the stress and panic that I as well as my parents were having at that particular moment was really very tense but as soon as I got a confirmation call with my chest number being called and saw my call letter in my hands and was completely blank and numb, my happiness knew no bounds as I had finally managed to achieve my far-fetched dream and was really happy at my success and I saw the happiness of my father who was really glad and I was very emotional and their happiness was unmeasured and I felt as the most luckiest and blessed child of my proud parents”.
