If any major discrepancy is found at this stage, the board has full authority to declare a candidate ineligible immediately, irrespective of performance in tests or interviews. That is why document preparation must be treated as seriously as SSB preparation itself.

1. AFCAT 2026 Exam Admit Card

The AFCAT admit card is your official proof that you appeared and qualified for the AFCAT 2026 written examination. It is the first document checked when you report to the AFSB centre.

You Must Carry:

• One printed original copy of the AFCAT 2026 exam admit card
• 2–3 clear photocopies for record purposes

Practical Points to Remember:

• All information, including the name, roll number, photograph, and examination information, must be clearly visible
• Do not fold, staple, or damage the admit card
• The photograph should match your current appearance

Those who come without the admit card are not allowed to proceed further.

2. AFSB Call Letter (Call Up Letter)

After successfully qualifying the AFCAT, those candidates who have been shortlisted will be sent an AFCAT AFSB Call Letter through their email ID and AFCAT-Login ID.” This document serves as your official reporting instruction.

The call letter mentions:

• Name and location of the AFSB centre
• Reporting date and time
• Batch details and guidelines

Mandatory Requirement:

• One printed copy of the call letter
• Additional photocopies for safety

Candidates need to read the instructions correctly, particularly regarding time and dress code.

3. Class 10 Certificate and Mark Sheet (Proof of Date of Birth)

For the Indian Air Force, Class 10 is considered conclusive and unquestionable proof of the date of birth, and it is accepted in no other form.

Documents Required:

• Original Class 10 certificate
• Original Class 10 mark sheet
• Multiple self-attested photocopies

Common Issues Observed:

• Candidates carrying only the mark sheet and not the certificate
• Spelling mismatch in the name or the parent’s name
• Difference between the date of birth in the certificate and the AFCAT form

4. Class 12 Certificate and Mark Sheet

Class 12 documents are verified to ensure that the candidate fulfils the basic educational requirements of the chosen branch.

What to Carry:

• Original Class 12 certificate
• Original Class 12 mark sheet
• 2–3 photocopies

For Flying Branch candidates, Physics and Mathematics must be clearly mentioned. If your board issues combined certificates, ensure subject details are visible.

5. Graduation Mark Sheets and Degree Certificate

Graduation documents form the backbone of eligibility verification, especially for Ground Duty and Technical branches.

Required Documents:

• All semester or year-wise original mark sheets
• Provisional or final degree certificate
• Photocopies of each document

For Final-Year Candidates:

• Mark sheets of all completed semesters
• A bona fide or provisional certificate from the institute
• Percentage calculation must strictly meetthe  AFCAT eligibility norms

Incomplete documentation at this stage can lead to cancellation of candidature.

6. NCC ‘C’ Certificate (If Applicable)

Candidates applying through NCC Special Entry or claiming NCC benefits must produce their NCC ‘C’ certificate.
