The National Defence Academy Exam (NDA) is conducted twice in a year. It is a Joint Services exam for joining the Indian Armed Forces. The candidates who clear the NDA Exam will get the opportunity to join the NDA Academy which is located in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra.

Is there any criterion for Reservation under the NDA?
Only the Fees for filling up the NDA Exam for is Nil for the SC/ST candidate & son of the JCO’s, NCO’s, OR’s. Apart from this there are no exemptions provided in neither exam pattern nor in the eligibility criteria irrespective of their caste/community or religion.

Examination Pattern-
- NDA written exam is comprised of two tests two and a half hours each. Both tests are conducted on the same day with a short break. Exam conducting body is UPSC.
- Each correct answer in Mathematics will give you 5 marks and each correct answer in General Science 4 Marks.
- There is also a provision of negative marking of .33 marks for every wrong answer in give in Mathematics whereas 1.33 marks in General Knowledge
- Questions asked in the exam will be MCQs.
- The language of both the papers in NDA exam will be bilingual i.e. Hindi and English.
- The qualifying marks for the written examination are fixed by UPSC.
