Nitin, our proud centurion never accepted defeat and kept trying and was finally recommended from 3 AFSB Gandhinagar for NDA 149 Course. Journey of Nitin from a common boy to an NDA Cadet

The journey of Nitin from being a common boy to being an NDA Cadet was not so easy. His journey is filled with a number of ups and downs. It is said that ‘Rome was not built in a day but we were laying bricks for Rome every day’. Nitin indeed was laying a brick every day for his NDA dream. He never stopped working toward his aim. After years of hard work and many failures, Nitin’s joy had no boundaries when he was finally recommended from 3 AFSB Gandhinagar.

His Screening Process at 3 AFSB Gandhinagar

In the Screening Process at 3 AFSB Gandhinagar, OIR (Officers Intelligence Rating Test) was very easy for Nitin. Nitin says that that set of OIR was easier than what we used to give in the Centurion Defence Academy. Extensive practice and tips told to us at Centurion Defence Academy helped him to solve OIR very easily. During his PPDT Test (Picture Perception and Description Test) a very hazy picture was shown. He wrote a practical story around the picture and also used hidden resources available in the picture as told by Shishir Sir. During the discussion, there was a fish market. He presented his views when no one was speaking and also tried to calm his group.

His Second Day at SSB: Psychology Tests

Nitin says that psychology tests were relatively easy for him because of guidance provided by Shishir Sir, a psychology expert and chief ssb mentor at Centurion Defence Academy. Nitin had practiced for TAT, WAT, SRT with his friends. Nitin says that a lot of practice is required for Psych Tests because the time we get in these tests is very less. Nitin says that Shishir Sir had already briefed him about the self-description form and told Nitin to be honest and truthful in his self-description form.

His GTO and Personal Interview Experience

During his GTO, Nitin mostly focused on participating with his group. He actively tried to take his group forward. Nitin also kept updating himself with news and other facts so that he presented only valid points during group discussion and lecturette. During his Personal Interview, the Interviewing Officer asked questions about his background and his hobby. Nitin says that mock interviews conducted by Shishir Sir helped him to leave hesitation during the personal interview. Nitin answered all the questions confidently and stayed truthful while answering.

The message of Nitin to upcoming Defence Aspirants

Nitin says that qualifying for SSB is not a mere accident, it takes consistency in your efforts for getting recommended in the SSB. Nitin advises upcoming aspirants that there is no shortcut or alternative to hard work. Consistent Hard Work will surely work for you and your chances for recommendation in the SSB will be high. Nitin says that It is very important to stay updated with whatever is going on around you. Nitin recommends Aspirants to read newspapers and be aware about current issues.
