7 Most Crucial Last Minute Tips for NDA Exam

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the NDA 2 2023 exam on 3rd September 2023. The exam will be conducted for all applicants who have been issued admit cards. As there are two papers in NDA, the offline exam will be held in two shifts on a single day.

Since lakhs of candidates will be appearing, the NDA 2 2023 exam will take place at various designated centers across the country. As of now, only a few days are left for the NDA 2 2023 exam, so Centurion Defence Academy has come up with the 7 most crucial last-minute tips for the NDA exam.

Before we start discussing the most important last-minute tips for the NDA 2 2023 exam, let’s first consider the importance of reading the instructions printed on the admit card. Since the admit cards have been issued, go through your admit card and check that all the details are correct to ensure no discrepancy in the exam hall. Next, read the instructions printed on your admit card carefully. Keep the required documents ready to bring with your admit card to the examination center.

Make sure to carry only a black ballpoint pen (not blue, in any case; otherwise, your answer sheet will not be evaluated). Although it is clearly mentioned in the admit card, many aspirants carry a blue pen and mark their responses on the OMR sheet with the same. You are strictly advised not to do the same; otherwise, you will lose your candidature. Thus, bring only a black ballpoint pen for marking your answers on the OMR sheet and filling in all the necessary details as required.

Here are the 7 last-minute tips for NDA 2 2023 which will help you perform well in the exam. Adhere to these NDA preparation tips in the last few days to score adequate marks.

Focus on Revision: Spend these last days revisiting key concepts and rules in both mathematics and general ability sections. This revision reinforces your understanding and boosts your confidence in attempting the exam questions. Avoid learning any new topic in the last few days and insist on the revision of your notes and whatever you have learned so far.

Attempt Mock Tests: Make sure you attempt an adequate number of mock tests to replicate the real exam environment. This practice not only helps you manage time better but also provides insight into your strengths and areas that need improvement. Your goal should be to complete the mock test within the given time while also maintaining accuracy in the exam.

Stay Updated: Keep yourself updated about recent trends in the NDA exam. Analyze previous years’ question papers to identify common topics that carry more weight, giving you a targeted approach to your preparation. It is also important to be aware of the cut-off marks in the recent NDA exams so that you can make an analysis of how many questions you need to attempt.

Time Management: During the actual exam, allocate your time wisely. Devote sufficient time to each section based on its weightage and difficulty level. This strategy ensures you cover as many questions as possible within the given time frame. As discussed previously, attempting mock tests is the best way to maintain effective time during the actual exam.

Paper Planning: Emphasize on the paper planning by starting with questions that you are familiar with. This strategy maximizes your potential score and builds confidence as you solve questions within your comfort zone first and then attempt tricky questions.

Avoid negative perceptions before the exam and start challenging them. Ask yourself why you are worrying even before you sit for the exam.

Healthy Diet: Make sure to nourish your body with a balanced diet rich in nutrients. Opt for brain-boosting foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to sustain your energy levels and enhance cognitive function during the exam. Make sure you take proper rest and enough sleep to keep yourself fresh on the day of the exam.

Make sure you follow NDA admit card instructions properly:

E-admit card and the original photo ID proof

Bring the printout of your e-admit card along with the original photo ID proof, the number of which is mentioned in the e-admit card. For example, if you had given your Aadhaar number while filling the NDA application form, you must carry your original Aadhaar to verify your identity. If you don’t know which supporting document you should carry, just check your admit card and you will get your supporting document number printed on your admit card. Just carry it along with your admit card.

Be aware of time

As there will be two papers, make sure to carry your admit card and photo identity card in each session to secure entry to the examination hall. Furthermore, you are responsible for the safe custody of the e-Admit Card so keep it properly. It should be noted that entry into the Examination Venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination i.e. 9:50 AM for the Forenoon Session and 01:50 PM for the Afternoon Session.

Don’t carry prohibited items

You should keep in mind that the possession of any mobile phone (even in switched-off mode) or any electronic device or storage media like a pen drive, smart watches, etc. is strictly prohibited. As we have previously mentioned, answers other than those made by Black Ball Point Pen would not be evaluated. Also, there will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by a candidate as specified in the table above. Furthermore, candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a photo identity proof and two passport-size photographs one for each session for appearing at the examination with an undertaking.
