Proud Centurion Sakshi Pandey secured AIR 16 in girls for the NDA 150th course. She received a recommendation for the NDA 150th course from 34 SSB Allahabad. Sakshi is the daughter of a serving JCO in the Indian Army. Due to his father’s service, Sakshi had several opportunities to spend her childhood in cantonment areas. Such a military environment and exposure infused her personality with values, ethos, and discipline from an early age. Becoming an officer in the armed forces was a childhood dream of Sakshi, which she finally realized after getting a recommendation from 34 SSB Allahabad. Sakshi’s success story is an inspiration for young NDA aspirants who are preparing to join the National Defence Academy.

When Sakshi got to know about NDA offering opportunities to girls as well, she appeared in the NDA exam for the 149th course but could not clear it due to her focus on board exam preparation at the same time. After this, Sakshi wholeheartedly prepared for the NDA exam; she cracked it and got a recommendation from 34 SSB Allahabad. In Sakshi’s batch, there were a total of 79 girls, but only 36 of them were able to clear the screening round. Sakshi gives credit for her success to her teachers, specifically Sir Shishir Dixit, who guided her a lot to excel in the NDA exam.
